Description

Banana Cream Pie Rice Krispie Treats bring pure nostalgia straight to my kitchen counter with their creamy, crispy magic. Combining classic rice krispie goodness with banana pudding flavors creates a seriously addictive dessert that disappears faster than I can slice them.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 (10 oz) bag of mini marshmallows

Supporting Ingredients:

  • 1 (3.4 oz) package instant banana cream pudding mix
  • 1 cup whipped topping

Finishing Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips
  • Crushed vanilla wafers
  • Nonstick spray
  • 1 serving pie-like crust or garnish

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13-inch pan with 1 tablespoon butter or nonstick spray. Ensure complete coverage to prevent sticking.
  2. Melt 3 tablespoons unsalted butter in a large saucepan over medium heat (325°F). Add entire 10-ounce bag of mini marshmallows, stirring continuously until completely smooth and liquid.
  3. Remove pan from heat. Immediately mix in entire 3.4-ounce package of dry banana cream pudding mix. Stir thoroughly until pudding powder dissolves completely into marshmallow base.
  4. Add 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal to marshmallow mixture. Fold gently until every cereal piece is evenly coated with banana-flavored marshmallow blend.
  5. Transfer mixture into prepared pan. Use a spatula or butter-coated hands to press mixture into an even layer. Press lightly to maintain a soft texture.
  6. Allow treats to cool for 15-20 minutes at room temperature. Spread 1 cup whipped topping across surface using an offset spatula.
  7. Optional: Sprinkle ½ cup crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers over whipped topping. Drizzle ½ cup melted white chocolate chips for extra decoration.
  8. Refrigerate treats for 60 minutes until completely set. Cut into 12-16 square portions using a sharp knife.
  9. Store remaining treats in an airtight container in refrigerator for up to 3 days. Consume chilled for best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Grease the pan thoroughly to prevent sticking and ensure easy removal of the treats.
  • Use fresh marshmallows for the smoothest, most consistent texture in your bars.
  • When mixing the cereal, fold gently to keep the treats light and airy instead of compact and hard.
  • For a gluten-free version, swap regular Rice Krispies for a gluten-free crisp rice cereal and use gluten-free vanilla wafers or graham crackers.
