Description

Caramel Apple Crisp Cheesecake brings together creamy cheesecake and warm apple crisp in one spectacular dessert. Layers of cinnamon-spiced apples and rich cheesecake create a delightful treat your family will devour.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 2 8-ounce packages softened cream cheese
  • 2 medium to large apples (peeled and thinly sliced)
  • Caramel topping

Supporting Ingredients for Crust:

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • ¾ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ¼ cup brown sugar

Flavor Enhancers and Topping:

  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup rolled oats
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon ginger

Instructions

  1. Crush 1 cup graham cracker crumbs and ¾ cup rolled oats into fine crumbs. Mix with ½ cup melted butter and ¼ cup brown sugar until your crust holds together when pressed.
  2. Press the crust mixture firmly into a 9-inch springform pan. Bake at 350°F for 5 minutes to set the base, then remove and let cool completely.
  3. In a mixer, combine 2 packages (16 oz total) softened cream cheese, ¼ cup brown sugar, ¼ cup white sugar, ½ tsp cinnamon, ⅛ tsp ginger, 2 tbsp corn starch, and 2 tsp vanilla extract. Blend until your mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture evenly over your cooled crust, making sure to spread it to the edges without creating air bubbles.
  5. Peel and slice 2 medium apples into thin, uniform pieces. Layer these slices carefully across the entire surface of the cheesecake.
  6. Create your crumble topping by mixing ¼ cup flour, ¼ cup rolled oats, ¼ cup brown sugar, ½ tsp cinnamon, and 2 tbsp coconut oil until your mixture looks like coarse, clumpy sand.
  7. Sprinkle the crumble topping generously and evenly over the apple layer, covering the entire surface.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 45-50 minutes, watching for a golden-brown topping and a slight jiggle in the center of your cheesecake.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the cheesecake cool at room temperature for 15 minutes, then refrigerate overnight to help it set perfectly.
  10. Before serving, drizzle your favorite caramel sauce over the top for an extra decadent touch.

Notes

  • Check your cream cheese’s temperature to ensure smooth blending without lumps.
  • Slice apples uniformly thin for consistent cooking and an attractive presentation.
  • Refrigerating overnight helps the cheesecake set properly and enhances flavor development.
  • For a gluten-free version, substitute graham cracker crumbs with almond flour or gluten-free cookie crumbs.
