Description

Pecan pie blondies bring Southern comfort straight to your dessert plate with a buttery, nutty twist that melts in your mouth. Loaded with caramel-like sweetness and a crumbly pecan topping, these bars deliver pure baking happiness in each delectable bite.

Ingredients

Scale

Blondies Base:

  • 2 cups dark brown sugar
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • ⅔ cup butter
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

Baking Essentials:

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Pinch salt

Filling:

  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 6 miniature pecan pie tartlets

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9×9-inch pan with foil, extending over sides. Thoroughly coat foil with cooking spray.
  2. Beat ⅔ cup butter and 2 cups dark brown sugar using an electric mixer on medium speed until creamy.
  3. Add 2 tsp vanilla and 2 eggs to butter mixture, mixing until smooth.
  4. Gently fold in 1 tsp baking powder, ¼ tsp baking soda, pinch of salt, and 2½ cups flour to create a thick batter.
  5. Mix in 1 cup chopped pecans and 6 miniature pecan pie tartlets (or ½ prepared pecan pie) into batter.
  6. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan. Bake for 10 minutes at 350°F.
  7. Whisk 2 Tbsp butter, 2 lightly beaten eggs, ½ cup dark brown sugar, ½ cup corn syrup, and 1 tsp vanilla in a separate bowl.
  8. Stir remaining 1 cup pecans into filling mixture.
  9. Pour filling evenly over par-baked blondies. Return to oven for 15-20 minutes at 350°F.
  10. Remove when top is golden and slightly jiggly in center. Do not overbake.
  11. Allow blondies to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Check pecan freshness before chopping, as rancid nuts can ruin the entire batch.
  • Use dark brown sugar for deeper caramel flavor and richer texture in the blondies.
  • Always line the pan with foil and grease thoroughly to ensure easy removal and clean cutting of blondies.
  • Remove blondies from oven when center is slightly jiggly, as they will continue setting while cooling and prevent dry, overbaked texture.
