Description

Crumbl cookies bring pure joy straight to your kitchen, where baking becomes an adventure of sweet, memorable moments. Mixing simple ingredients creates bakery-style treats that spark smiles and make your home smell absolutely delicious.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 220 g Plain Flour
  • 1 Egg
  • 115 g Butter melted
  • 70 g Brown Sugar
  • 70 g Sugar
  • 90 g Cream Cheese

Supporting Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon Cornflour
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt

Finishing Ingredients:

  • 250 g Icing Sugar
  • 90 g Butter softened

Instructions

  1. Grab a large mixing bowl and whisk together 70 g brown sugar, 70 g white sugar, 115 g melted butter, 1 whole egg, and 1 tsp vanilla extract until the mixture becomes smooth and glossy.
  2. Sift 220 g plain flour, 1 tbsp cornflour, ½ tsp baking soda, ½ tsp baking powder, and ½ tsp salt into your wet ingredients. Gently fold the dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  3. Cover your cookie dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to help prevent spreading during baking.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop 2-tablespoon portions of chilled dough and space them 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Remove from oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet.
  6. For the frosting, beat 90 g softened butter and 90 g cream cheese in a mixer until creamy. Gradually add 250 g icing sugar and mix until smooth and fluffy.
  7. Once cookies are completely cool, spread 1-2 tablespoons of cream cheese frosting on top of each cookie using an offset spatula.

Notes

  • Chill the dough for at least an hour to prevent spreading and ensure thick, soft cookies.
  • Use room temperature ingredients for smoother mixing and better texture.
  • Measure flour correctly by spooning it into the measuring cup and leveling with a knife to avoid dense cookies.
  • For a gluten-free version, swap all-purpose flour with a 1:1 gluten-free baking blend, which keeps the same soft cookie consistency.
