Instructions
- Dissolve 2 tablespoons of sugar and 7g dry yeast in 200ml warm milk. Whisk 1 egg and 50ml vegetable oil into the liquid mixture.
- Sift 400g flour and 1 teaspoon salt into the wet ingredients. Knead until a smooth, elastic dough develops.
- Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel. Let it rise in a draft-free spot for 60 minutes until it doubles in volume.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal portions. Shape each piece into a round disk.
- Create a gentle indentation in the center of each disk using your fingertips. Allow donuts to rest for 20 minutes at room temperature.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to exactly 350°F. Carefully lower each donut into the hot oil.
- Fry each donut for approximately 2-3 minutes, turning once to achieve an even golden-brown color.
- Transfer the fried donuts onto paper towels to absorb excess oil for about 1 minute.
- Roll each warm donut in granulated sugar, coating completely and evenly.
- Fill a piping bag with hazelnut cream. Insert the tip into the side of each donut and gently squeeze to fill.
